Other writing

You can find my essays at the Virginia Quarterly Review, where I’ve written about my obsession with Disneyland, the lit windows of strangers, and the Museum of Broken Hearts, as well as a little essay called “Grand Female of Female Pain.”

You can find some of my tiny lyric window essays at Orion, as well as an essay about hospitals; and some of my critical writing at the New York Review of Books: on divorce narratives, home movies, and a memoir about a bear that haunts me to this day.

All my writing for the New York Times is here, including pieces about bathhouses, nostalgia, C-sections, saying no, literary sad women, and female rage.
